About Putnam County Criminal History

Putnam County criminal records are divided among the sheriff, the circuit clerk, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, the Department of Corrections, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Those offices answer different questions. We built this private reference resource to make the correct official portal, address, or phone number easier to identify before a request is sent.

Why We Built This Site

Missouri offers several public access routes, yet the useful route depends on the record. The Putnam County Sheriff maintains local reports and the booking roster. The circuit clerk holds filed charges and dispositions. MSHP CJIS operates the statewide Central Repository and MACHS checks. Missouri Corrections and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry answer narrower custody, supervision, and registration questions. We organize verified request steps, official links, known fees, and office contacts around those divisions.

What You Will Find Here

  • Record guides: how criminal court case records are searched and read
  • Record cleanup information: where Missouri expungement petitions begin and which offices receive orders
  • Official check steps: how public name searches and identity-confirmed fingerprint reviews differ through MACHS

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to a Missouri court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing office, such as the sheriff, circuit clerk, or MSHP Central Repository, can provide an official criminal record. We can identify the likely custodian, but the record itself must come from that office.

Search Partners

Outside providers power search boxes on some pages. Each provider controls its service, prices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We neither set the provider’s charges nor determine the records returned.
